Something went wrong. Here is the fix.

Almost everything that fails here fails in one of five ways, and every one of them has a fix you can do yourself in a minute or two. They are all below. If yours is not, there is a mailbox at the bottom that a human reads.

Refunds first

Refunds do not require contacting us. The button is in your dashboard. For seven days after you pay there is a button that says Refund in your dashboard. One tap, the full amount goes back to your card, nobody asks why. You never have to write an email to get your money back.

The five likely failures

Failure one

You got a TXT file instead of JSON, and nothing will read it.

Some platforms, TikTok especially, ask a quiet question when you request your data: TXT or JSON. TXT is written for a person to scroll through, and no tool can reliably parse it, ours included.

The fixGo back into the platform's download-your-data screen, request the export again, and choose JSON this time. The wait starts over, which is annoying, but the JSON file reads correctly the moment it arrives. The exact taps are in the export guides.
Failure two

The zip will not open, or the Count says the archive is damaged.

A zip carries an index at its very end, so a download that stops partway produces a file that looks real, has a plausible size, and cannot be opened by anything. Phones that lock mid-download and connections that drop are the usual causes.

The fixDelete the partial zip, go back to the platform's ready email or download page, and download it again on a steady connection, ideally on wifi with the screen kept awake. If the platform split the export into parts, download all of them and join them the way the platform's own instructions describe.
Failure three

You dropped a file in and it says it is not a shape we know.

Every Count page reads every supported platform, so the wrong page is never the problem. The usual cause is that the file is not an official data export at all: a folder of screenshots, a chat log saved by hand, a PDF statement, or an export from a platform we do not read yet.

The fixCheck that the file came from the platform's own download-your-data tool, not from anywhere else. The platforms we read today are TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Google, Spotify, X, LinkedIn, Amazon, and ChatGPT. If you do not have a real export yet, the guides carry the exact taps for each platform. If a real export from a listed platform still misses, the platform has likely renamed something: drop the whole zip rather than one file out of it, and if it still misses, tell us at support@pupulcorp.com so the parser gets fixed for everyone.

If your problem is not on this page

Write to support@pupulcorp.com. A human reads it, today that human is the founder, and a real answer comes back rather than a ticket number. Say which platform's export you were using and what the page said when it stopped; a screenshot of the message helps.

Never attach your export itself to an email. We do not need it, and the whole point of the Count is that we never see it.
