Nothing here scores your child or sorts them into a type. It is a plain, dated log of what actually happened, entered as it happens, that nobody, including us, can insert into or rewrite after the fact. That is the whole reason a file handed over years from now is worth trusting.

How it works

Three moments, across
eighteen years.

The file is boring by design. You add a line when something is true, not when an algorithm wants engagement. There is no feed, no streak, no score, and nothing here decides anything about your child.

01 / Any age, including day one

You start the file

A guardian opens it and it belongs, from that first line, to the child. You are the custodian, not the owner. You can add entries yourself, or invite a co-parent, grandparent, or teacher to add their own, each one signed with their name.

02 / While they're growing

Entries accrue, never disappear

A line here, a milestone there, added whenever something is worth keeping. Nothing is ever edited or deleted, only added. If something needs correcting later, a new entry sits beside the old one, dated the day you wrote it.

03 / The day they're grown

The file transfers to them

At eighteen, or whatever age their own place sets as grown, guardian control ends automatically and the file becomes theirs alone to keep, share, or hand to any AI. Nothing before that day is deleted or hidden on the way through.

Most apps that hold a child's early years keep the account, and the record, in the parent's name forever. Ours is written the other way: the guardian administers, the child owns, from the first entry. That is a deliberate posture, not a feature we might add later.

You add entries and decide who else can read or write, the same way a custodian manages an account for a minor. The file was never yours to keep. It was always theirs, held in trust until they're old enough to hold it themselves.

Turning eighteen ends guardian control the same way it ends every other kind of custody: on its own, without anyone's cooperation required. It is not a support ticket you or your grown child would ever need to file.

Nothing already written can be silently deleted, by a guardian or by us, before the handoff. If a disagreement ever comes up about what belongs in the file, the answer is a new entry, dated today, never a quiet edit to the past.

Why the record is worth trusting

A childhood cannot be
invented after the fact.

Elapsed, witnessed time is the one credential nobody can mint on demand, for a child least of all. Everything below exists to make that claim checkable by someone who does not trust us.

Append only

Entries are added, never edited and never reordered. There is no write path into the past, for a guardian or for us.

Signed checkpoints

The ledger publishes signed checkpoints. Anyone can prove an entry existed at a point in time without asking our permission.

Null, never false

A claim we cannot evidence comes back null. A quiet childhood is not a finding, and we will not let it read as one.

Consent is shape only

A grant carries only what was agreed to share, never what was actually written. What your child chooses not to share stays absent, not flagged.

Imports don't count

Anything brought in from elsewhere is flagged as imported and never counts toward the continuity the file is built to prove.

Revocation is public

Every revoked grant is published to a list anyone can read, including the count. Access can be taken back at any time, by whoever currently controls the file.

FAQ

The questions guardians actually ask.

Does this score or type my child in any way?
No. Nothing here scores your child or sorts them into a type. It is a dated log of real entries, written by the people who know them, that cannot be backdated or rewritten later. There is nothing to answer, rank, or complete anywhere in this product.
Who actually owns the file, legally?
Your child does, from the first entry. You are its custodian while they're a minor, the same relationship a custodial account uses for a minor's finances: you administer it, you never held title to it. At majority, control transfers to them automatically and your review rights end at that same moment.
What happens if I stop paying?
Every entry already written stays readable. A lapsed subscription pauses new entries and the extra features, it never locks you out of what your family already wrote. We think a memory held hostage to a billing cycle is the worst way to run this kind of product, so we don't.
Can I delete or edit an entry I regret writing?
Not by rewriting the past. The ledger only adds. If an entry needs correcting, you add a new one, dated today, sitting beside the old one. That rule is what makes the file worth trusting years from now, and it applies to us the same way it applies to you.
What age does the file transfer at?
Eighteen by default, or your child's own place's legal age of majority where that differs. It is a mechanical event, not a request either of you has to make, and it is not something a guardian can postpone.
Can more than one guardian add to the file?
Yes. Invite a co-parent, grandparent, or anyone else you trust, and each entry they write is signed with their own name. Nobody's entries are anonymous inside the file.
Is my child's data ever sold or used to target ads?
No. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and nothing in the file drives a feed, a recommendation, or an ad. Access to it is yours to grant and yours to take back, at any time, for any reason.
How much does it cost?
Starting the file is free. The Room, which unlocks unlimited entries and inviting other guardians, is $99 a year or $12 a month. Reading what's already written is never paywalled, on any tier, whether or not you're currently paying.
What if my child disagrees with something in the file once they're grown?
Every entry stays attributed to whoever wrote it and dated when they wrote it. Nothing is hidden from your grown child once the file is theirs, and they can add their own entries going forward, the same way you did.
